Terms of my auctions and sales
My listings are complete, detailed, and accurate. I stand behind my auctions, and only sell quality products. My policies are simple. Payment must arrive within two weeks for domestic sales, three weeks for international. After this time period I will relist the item at my discretion and may file a non-paying bidder complaint. Please don't bother bidding on it again.
If an item arrives damaged and it's a result of faulty
packaging, I'll cover the damages, even if you did not pay for insurance. I'm
that confident of my packaging. If the item was lost or damaged for other
reasons, it's your responsibility to have purchased insurance. I ship on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
UNLESS MENTIONED OTHERWISE, ALL PRODUCTS ARE NEW "OLD STOCK" - NEVER USED, NEVER ABUSED. Have a question? Feel free to ask! Please don't ask me for parts you don't see me auctioning. I don't have an inventory! I sell the stuff as I come across it.
I buy manuals from dive shops that offer or offered
training in equipment service. These manuals were printed by the shop
(with permission) or supplied by the manufacturer for training. If I receive a
complaint about a manual, I'll check it and rectify the problem. I do not
sell manuals if they are photocopies or obvious duplicates! They must be high
quality printed manuals.
I also provide auction services for third parties. I indicate in the auction listing if the listing is for a third party. The information for these auctions is provided by the third party. I take the photo's and will disclose any obvious problems. I can't be responsible for errors in information provided by someone else. These indicated items are not mine - I'm simply listing them as a service.
If you feel that you have to leave neutral or negative feedback, I would like to talk to you
first. Every neutral feedback I have received was because of an obvious misunderstanding. I was never contacted by the bidder, not even via email.
Same for negative feedback. Still, the combined total is under a dozen
neutral and negative, and that's from over 3500 auctions!

The maximum that can fit in a single Flat Rate Priority Mail Envelope or Global Priority Mail Envelope is 175 sheets / 350 pages. I do combine shipments and shipping cost, but keep this limit in mind.
The only complaint I receive about my shipping is that the envelope or box can take to long to open! I do my best to make sure your purchase arrives undamaged. Whether it's a $3.00 sale or a $30.00 sale, it receives the same quality treatment.
Parts, regulators, gauges, etc.: All parts are individually bagged. I use a lot of padding. If the shipment is only a small part or two, I bag the part and fold the part/s in cardboard and ship in a padded envelope.
Your order will arrive safe and undamaged. Please note: DO NOT THROW AWAY ANYTHING until you verify everything is in your hands. I have had customers toss out parts wrapped in padding, not realizing a part was in there. Within the USA, items can ship First Class Mail (3-6 days, 13 oz weight limit - can be costly, often more than Priority) Priority Mail (video box or a flat rate box or envelope - 3-5 days) or Parcel Post (4-8 days.) Priority mail is usually the best choice, unless it's a small item. Then first class is best.
International, I'll ship surface (4-6 weeks - cheap), Air Mail Parcel (7-10 days - reasonable), or Global Priority Mail (up to 3/4" thick, 8.5x11 for around $10.00 - 3 - 11 days). Except for Italy - Global Priority Mail is not available. If you want it insured, you MUST go Global Priority or Express Mail.
I drop domestic packages in the 24 hour package mail box at the post office every evening around 11pm. Get your payment in before 5pm, and your package ships the same day (well, evening), even weekends. International goes out Mon., Weds. and Fri. at around 3pm. as these packages require a post office window visit.
You'll receive a shipment notification from me the day the item ships. You'll also receive a notice from UPS or the Post Office when the label is printed (Post office notification is only sent if you pay with PayPal.)
Manuals and books: Within the USA, Books can ship Book Rate/Media Mail (4-6 weeks - cheap), First Class Mail (3-6 days - costly, often costs more than Priority) or Priority Mail (up to 3/4" thick, 8.5x11 for around $5.00, or multiple books in a flat rate box for around $9.00.) International, Books can ship surface (4-6 weeks - cheap), Air Mail Parcel (7-10 days - reasonable,) or Global Priority Mail (up to 3/4" thick, 8.5x11 for around $10.00) Except for Italy - Global Priority Mail is not available.
Bottom line: In a hurry? DO NOT use Media Mail!
Packaging Info: If the books/manuals ship Priority Mail, I insert a stiff cardboard sheet to help prevent damage. For any other method, I use a medial mailing envelope made from stiff cardboard. In addition, I also insert a cardboard sheet. For international shipping, I add a second sheet when possible. All envelopes are marked "do not bend" and thoroughly taped. |
Attention International Buyers:
Sometimes packages do get lost in the mail, and we have no way to track your order down unless it was shipped via Global Express Mail. Sometimes *lost* packages are being held by your customs dept/agency. If you believe the package may be lost, e-mail me and I will send you the customs form number. You can use this number to inquire about your package at your customs dept / agency.
